Asian shares showed gains early on Thursday followed by Wall Street gains with S&P 500 closing at its highest level this year, media reports said. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 2.1 percent while Japan’s Nikkei advanced 1.4 percent. China’s Shanghai was up 0.6 percent and South Korea’s Kospi rose 1.2 percent.
